World of Coca Cola

Atlanta, Georgia

SPD collaborated with the Coca Cola Company to develop the environmental communications master plan for the World of Coca Cola Museum. SPD created the main facade and identity tower, an internally illuminated sculpture of a LED Coke bottle on ice, as well as all interior and exterior signage and wayfinding. The master plan successfully establishes the site as a landmark, a museum, a cultural touchstone, and a marketing tool that celebrates the iconic Coca Cola brand.

As international design architects and planners, it has always been imperative for us to collaborate with like-minded, creative design firms to complement the places we create. Always enthusiastic and engaged, Selbert Perkins Design provides excellent client service as well as practical and innovative design solutions. They have been a long-time collaborative partner with The Jerde Partnership and have played an instrumental role in several of our major international and domestic projects. From famed international landmarks such as Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka and La Cittadella in Kawasaki, Japan, to unique domestic developments such as the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta and the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in California, SPD’s design strategies elevate and enhance Jerde places, which collectively attract millions of people. The integrated and engaging environments they create within mixed-use, retail entertainment, and hospitality are truly unique and have helped redefine the meaning and purpose of communications in the environment. SPD gives true meaning to the concepts of “urban theatre,” and “placemaking.” We highly value our partnership with SPD and look forward to a continued collaboration well into the future.
