Belmont Public Library

Selbert Perkins Design collaborated with the Town of Belmont Public Library in Massachusetts to reimagine its logo and brand identity in tandem with the opening of its new library building. The refreshed identity honors the library’s history while celebrating its ongoing commitment to the community’s future.

Central to the new design is the local blue jay, chosen to symbolize intelligence, adaptability, and connection. The bird’s wings feature gradient, layered shapes that evoke the turning pages of a book, creating a vibrant visual bridge between nature, story, and civic service.
