The LAX Gateway officially opened on August 8, 2000. Conceived and designed by Selbert Perkins Design, the gateway celebrates the energy, diversity, and unity of Los Angeles. The gateway has become an icon of the Los Angeles experience and welcomes millions of visitors from around the world each day.
