Our Boston office is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Designer to add to our team of partners, principals, design directors, and graphic designers in developing our branding, placemaking, wayfinding, and digital experience projects for academic campuses, healthcare facilities, mixed-use developments, entertainment districts, corporate offices, and municipal improvement projects. This role is 75% project management and 25% design.
Qualifications:
- College Degree (BA minimum)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, architecture, or related industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organized and detail-oriented
- Must have previously managed project schedules and budgets
- Previous experience with Databases (Airtable, Microsoft List, Access, etc.)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with SignAgent is a plus.
- Ability to create and modify 2D CAD, experience with HotDoor CADTools a plus
- 3D CAD experience is a plus
- Ability to read architectural construction documents and shop drawings
- Knowledge about signage products, production methods, fabrication, and installation
- Must be local to the Boston area and able to drive to site visits
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Managing project schedules and budgets, making sure they come in on time and on budget
- Managing team time in coordination with project schedule and budget
- Acting as the main point of contact on projects for clients and vendors
- Maintenance of project files and server organization
- Implement signage standards across project scopes and make additional design decisions as the project is
- installed and completed
- Creation of design intent documents/construction documents, message schedules, sign programming, and
- sign location plans
- Supervising fabrication and installation, as needed
- Project travel for meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Prepare punch lists at project completion
- Coordination of vendor & subcontractors
- Contract & Construction administration
- Create Production Artwork for final fabrication, as needed
- Other project tasks, as needed
