Senior Project Manager/Designer

Our Boston office is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Designer to add to our team of partners, principals, design directors, and graphic designers in developing our branding, placemaking, wayfinding, and digital experience projects for academic campuses, healthcare facilities, mixed-use developments, entertainment districts, corporate offices, and municipal improvement projects. This role is 75% project management and 25% design.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree (BA minimum)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, architecture, or related industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organized and detail-oriented
  • Must have previously managed project schedules and budgets
  • Previous experience with Databases (Airtable, Microsoft List, Access, etc.)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience with SignAgent is a plus.
  • Ability to create and modify 2D CAD, experience with HotDoor CADTools a plus
  • 3D CAD experience is a plus
  • Ability to read architectural construction documents and shop drawings
  • Knowledge about signage products, production methods, fabrication, and installation
  • Must be local to the Boston area and able to drive to site visits

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities: 

Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing project schedules and budgets, making sure they come in on time and on budget
  • Managing team time in coordination with project schedule and budget
  • Acting as the main point of contact on projects for clients and vendors
  • Maintenance of project files and server organization
  • Implement signage standards across project scopes and make additional design decisions as the project is
  • installed and completed
  • Creation of design intent documents/construction documents, message schedules, sign programming, and
  • sign location plans
  • Supervising fabrication and installation, as needed
  • Project travel for meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Prepare punch lists at project completion
  • Coordination of vendor & subcontractors
  • Contract & Construction administration
  • Create Production Artwork for final fabrication, as needed
  • Other project tasks, as needed
