Project Manager

The Chicago Office has an opportunity for a Project Manager. You will be working with a team of principals, design directors, CADD managers and graphic designers developing projects for transportation wayfinding, healthcare signage, hospitality, retail and international branded environments.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design or architecture industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Required college degree (BA minimum)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Trimble SketchUp and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of budget management
  • Ability to read architectural construction documents and shop drawings
  • CAD and 3D experience is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge about products, production methods, fabrication and installation

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing client assignments and teams
  • Leading design assignments
  • Acting as point of contact on projects for clients, vendors and teams
  • Preparing documentation and management of wayfinding, signage and environmental graphic projects
  • Generation of design intent documents, message schedules, sign programming, and sign location plans
  • Supervising fabrication and installation
  • Project management and project administration
  • Client relations and client management
  • New business development
  • Project travel for meeting, presentations, and site visits
  • Developing estimates, proposals, and additional service requests
  • Coordination of vendor & subcontractors
  • Construction administration
  • Contract administration
  • Design and production
  • Detailed drawings
  • Renderings
  • Training designers and staff as required
  • General office administration
