Selbert Perkins Design created the branded communications master plan for one of the largest mixed-use redevelopment projects in the U.S. today – City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake City, UT. Collaborating with CCRI, Taubman and a team of architects, landscape architects, lighting and water feature designers, general contractors and fabricators, SPD developed the logo, print communications, gateway monuments, tenant standards, storytelling program, site-wide signage and wayfinding, and provided consultation and artist selection for the art program.

Inspired by the historic creek that ran through the site in the 1800s, the resulting branded environment is elegant, engaging, and truly a landmark destination. Encompassing 23 acres and more than 900,000 square feet over two city blocks, this unique urban environment – which includes retail, offices, residences, a 5,000-space parking structure, a retractable glass roof, a pedestrian skybridge, and a replica of the historic creek – is the new centerpiece of downtown and brings renewed vitality to the city for the 21st century.
